This limited warranty covers defects in the materials and workmanship of the Solar Panel (Item No. STP5A) for 1 year after the date of purchase of the product. This limited warranty excludes any damage caused by the consumer’s misuse, abuse, attempted repair, or otherwise altering of the product. 

During the warranty period, Scoutek will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that prove defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. The repaired or replaced product shall continue to be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. 

To obtain warranty services, you must 1) Contact Scoutek via email at support@scoutek.com to register the product defect in advance of return. 2) Provide valid proof of purchase, i.e., product receipt. 3) Return product to Scoutek, postage/shipping paid, for product inspection. 

Upon receipt of product, Scoutek shall have fifteen (15) business days to determine whether to accept or reject the product warranty claim. The product warranty claim may be rejected if it is determined 1) there is no defect; 2) the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of the warranty. If the product warranty claim is rejected by Scoutek, you, the consumer, must bear the cost of returning the product. If the product warranty claim is deemed valid, Scoutek will return the repaired product or replacement at our expense.
